ATUL YADVANSHI's 4 P MODEL

Atul Yadvanshi has travelled extensively in the Rural, Distant & Far-flung Areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh for Motivating & Mobilizing Folk Artists. Facilitated the formation of Indian Folk Art Federation by involving Folk Artists of 18 States to “Protect & Preserve our Folk Art Forms before its too Late”. He has derived and propogated 4P's formula for Revival of Performing Folk Art Forms. Through this 4Ps formula of Preserve, Pre-cast, Practice & Perform any Rare/Traditional Art forms can be revived. It is popularly known as "Atul Yadvanshi 4Ps Model".

Through 4Ps formula of Preserve, Pre-cast, Practice & Perform any rare/traditional Art forms can be safeguarded by the 4Ps formula only which is well demonstrated by the diagram:

PRESERVE: Through research and documentation regarding the origin, stages of development, the specialty of the form, legends of the past and present practitioners is of the utmost importance.

PRE-CAST: To concretize the knowledge of the Art form its traditions, ethos and beliefs by enlisting the minutest details of the form in reference to instruments/music, dance, singing style and dialogues, if any. To arrive at consensus the seminars and conferences are the best tools.

PRACTICE: To organize workshops under the able guidance of established Gurus / Practitioners for the upcoming artist so that knowledge is transferred and one can be assured that the art form will never become for gotten tradition but will be a vibrant living form.

PERFORM: However, it is important to provide a larger cultural space for a long-term survival of the associated performances and for this reason; it becomes pertinent to make it complete with model performance traditions without distorting the very tradition in the process. The performances are the only way through which the Art form can arrive on the cognitive plane.
